Our mission is to use our God-given spiritual gifts to nurture the church, relieve the hurting in the community, while preaching the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Seaside SDA Community Church exists to share the love and teachings of Jesus Christ to all people. Our church stretches beyond the four walls, where the community is our congregation. Through prayer, the word, love, and service, we connect our church and community to Christ. When you come to Seaside, you can expect to be welcomed into a friendly, positive environment by people who are genuinely glad to see you. We meet every Saturday for Bible Lesson Study at 9:30am and for Worship at 11am.
Founded in 1966, Seaside SDA Church is part of a worldwide organization with more than 15 million members in countries around the world.
Seaside community SDA church is the first and only Historically Black Adventist church on the Monterey Peninsula. Our Journey began under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Smith and the late Pastor Canson in 1966. Through persistence and prayer, the church was organized as a company with 28 charter memberships in 1969. In 1972 the late Pastor E.D. Rudley conducted tent meetings and added 23 souls to the membership, all while building our current sanctuary. In 1973 the celebration of the grand opening of the church was witnessed by members and the community. Eleven pastors have shepherded this church starting with Pastor Kenneth Smith, to our present Pastor Nicole Harvey-Williams. The Seaside Community SDA Church has seen and experienced the goodness of the Lord over the years. To Him be the glory and honor for ever and ever.
